Today was a day of rest for me.
Actually, life and plans and not-sleeping babies and stuff like that had a big effect but I am dead-set on getting back on track tomorrow. I had a big family dinner and I ate way too much Mexican-Layer Dip and Key Lime Pie but I'm forgiving myself and moving on. I will spend an extra 15 minutes on the Elliptical machine tomorrow at my attempted-twice weekly trip to the local gym. I will eat a big salad tomorrow and keep a tighter diet to make up for today's FUN-EATING.
Those of you who are sore? Keep going. In just a few more workouts you will feel stronger. You will be able to do those darn butt-kicks and you will feel your abs getting stronger and you'll start to maintain better form in those exercises as your core is getting stronger.
If you have just started and you feel discouraged? Keep Going. If you absolutely cannot complete some of these exercises, try it without hand-weights. Pause the DVD and do some deep breathing. It is okay to take a rest, just do the exercises. I know Jillian says some of them are not modifiable ... but don't stop, keep moving for the entire twenty minutes. There is an abdominal exercise in Level 2 (in Circuit 2, I think) and it really irritates a weird nervy (possibly post-pregnancy) painful thing in my lower back. So, instead, I do the crunches from a different circuit.
If you are on Day 3: GOOD FOR YOU! WOOT! We are almost halfway through the first week. Are you seeing a difference?
